About Swiss-Type Calculator

About us

Swiss-Type Calculator is a focused engineering tool for CNC programmers, setup technicians and shops working with Swiss-type turning centers.

The project was created from real production work: manually writing G-code, checking cutting values, comparing cycle times and adapting programs for different Swiss-Type workflows. The goal is to make these daily tasks faster, clearer and less error-prone.

Our first reference is Tornos / Deco13, because many Swiss-Type programmers need clean, repeatable output for this environment. Citizen support has now been added for selected workflows, and the platform is structured so additional machine families can be expanded step by step.

We do not treat generated G-code as a black box. The output is meant to be readable, reviewable and easy to adapt. Every program should still be checked by a qualified person and tested safely before use on a real machine.

The calculators are designed for practical machining decisions: cutting speed, feed, synchronization, cycle-time estimates, helix calculations, whirling parameters and other values that often decide whether setup work becomes smooth or frustrating.

The long-term vision is a professional Swiss-Type CNC toolbox: reliable calculators, machine-aware G-code generators, clear documentation, training videos and a workflow that helps programmers move from idea to safe machine output faster.

Built from practice

The interface follows daily CNC tasks, not generic software patterns. Inputs are grouped around how programmers actually prepare a job.

Machine-aware output

The generator keeps controller-specific behavior in mind and separates Tornos, Citizen and future machine profiles clearly.

Responsible use

Results are technical aids. Simulation, dry runs and professional judgment remain mandatory before production.
